TMG calls for accountability and oversight in funding the 2027 general elections

As preparations for Nigeria's 2027 general elections gather pace, the Transition Monitoring Group has stressed that funding alone cannot guarantee credible polls.
TMG Chairperson Auwal Musa Rafsanjani said effective oversight, accountability and attention to institutional weaknesses are essential if proposed election funding is to strengthen public confidence and improve INEC's performance. The intervention forms part of TMG's continuing advocacy for transparent, credible and accountable electoral administration.
