TMG warns against attempts to undermine the rule of law in electoral-fraud case

The Transition Monitoring Group expressed concern about attempts to weaken accountability following the electoral-fraud conviction of a former returning officer in the 2019 Akwa Ibom North-West senatorial election.
In the statement, TMG Chairperson Auwal Musa Rafsanjani said protecting the integrity of the judicial process is essential to deterring electoral offences and rebuilding citizens' trust in democratic institutions.
